Eldest of 7 children : 3 boys and 4 girls
His first school was under the village oak tree
Ordained as of Titular Archbishop of Arca and Auxiliary Patriarch on December 14
Elected Patriarch of the Maronite Church on January 7
Man of Honesty and Justice

Died in peace, Christmas eve
May 12, 1936
His Body was transferred to the crypt of the Congregation’s headquarters in Ibrine

His Personality
- A man of great zeal: “Zeal for your house has consumed me”
- A highly respected leader and shepherd
- A father who was always present for the poor and vulnerable.
- A man of God: He lived seeking nothing but Holiness and God’s will.
- Just and righteous man
- Father of the poor: The poor person loves the poor and strives in solidarity with them.
- Generous and open minded man: : “Give, give to all! There is no distinction for me between Christian and Muslim ”.
- Father of families and their intercessor: He worked tirelessly for the Human development and the forming of families on the basis of scriptural virtues.
